Notable Quick Wins
Projects that had large impact that didn't require their own portfolio page.

The work in between
Not every project needs a full case study. This page collects focused work where I made a notable difference across product, design systems, and compliance. Each one is a quick look at the problem, my approach, and what changed.

Starlink
CommandLink began selling Starlink satellite receivers to businesses with unreliable internet and to customers who need mobile connectivity. My goal was to give those customers and support teams clear visibility into device health inside the platform they already use. The MVP lets users assign a Starlink device to a bandwidth service, see its current status, and view downlink and uplink throughput. Later phases add device alerts, time ranges from 15 minutes to 30 days, billing-cycle usage, latency, ping drop rate, signal quality, and obstruction graphs, plus automatic case creation when a device goes offline and comes back.
The design challenge was making streaming time-series data readable at a glance. Each graph uses a granularity suited to its range (5-second points over 15 minutes up to hourly points over 30 days), and hovering reveals time, value, any alert, and status together. I modeled the interface on the familiar Starlink portal and kept scope to monitoring only, with no reboot or cancel controls, so the first release stays focused and dependable.

Component Library

A 70+ page Figma library built with another designer as the single source of truth for 5 teams and about 50 engineers. Organized by atomic design and mapped to React and MUI, so what designers create is what engineers build.
Foundations: color, typography, an 8px spacing system, breakpoints, containers, and icons, all defined as tokens
Components and patterns: buttons, inputs, selects, date pickers, tabs, steppers, banners, and more
Documented to build from: anatomy, layout and spacing, and states (default, hover, error, disabled) on every component
Accessible by default: WCAG AA, with ARIA labeling in the specs so it survives handoff
Impact: more consistent UI, less exploration time, development at least 10% faster, and a reliable base for AI-generated prototypes

VAT + Tax Exemption
CommandLink's invoicing had no way to show an international customer's VAT or foreign tax registration number, or the legislative language explaining why VAT wasn't charged on a cross-border service. That is a growing compliance gap as e-invoicing rules tighten across the EU and UK. While reviewing it, we also found that tax exemption rules could show "Active" with no supporting certificate, and a bad rule couldn't be removed. As both product manager and designer, I wrote the requirements and designed the solution for billing and finance ops, international onboarding, and QA.
The design adds a dedicated VAT / Tax Account Numbers card where one number can cover many countries, so a single EU registration is one entry rather than three. Invoices show those numbers near the account address and collect the required exemption language for every country on the invoice into one block above the total, instead of repeating it per line item. On the rules side, I made the certificate the single source of truth: a rule's status is computed from its certificate rather than set by hand, rules can be hard deleted, and the duplicate date fields become a single read-only creation date. I phased the work and scoped the first release to the EU and UK, where the business is fully confident, with more countries added as they're reviewed.

Problem: no place for VAT numbers or exemption language on international invoices; rule status could contradict its certificate
Phase 1: VAT / Tax Account Numbers card, multi-country add modal, invoice display and dynamic exemption language (EU and UK first)
Phase 2 : rule status computed from certificates, hard delete, read-only creation date
Target: 100% of EU/UK invoices with correct VAT number and language; zero rules showing Active without a linked active certificate

PowerLink
PowerLink is a programmable power unit that lets customers and CommandLink engineers see and control outlets
remotely, so a site outage doesn't wait on someone to power-cycle equipment on site. I designed it start to finish in about three months. Users can assign a unit to a service, view outlet status and power draw, and turn outlets on, off, or cycle them. Because a badly timed reboot can make an outage worse, safeguards such as maintenance-window blocks and
capped attempts were central to the requirements. It has been live since 2024.

Multi-Channel Case Communication
Service Delivery project managers were running customer, carrier, and vendor conversations through Outlook because the case offered only two modes, public and private. Replies could silently re-add recipients a partner had removed, risking private discussions reaching customers, and long-running cases collected dozens of unnamed threads. Added as a feature after Case Redesign began development, this project replaces the public/private tabs with named conversation channels. When recipients change, the system starts a new channel after a quick confirmation and keeps the prior history. Full threads are preserved, and old channels can be hidden without losing the audit trail. The goal is to make the case the system of record again, with 80% of cases using multiple channels within 60 days. Design and product work wrapped in January 2026, and development begins in Q4 2026.
